Lamb Ready Meals

1st September, 2020

Did you know that 1st -7th September is ‘Love Lamb Week’ ?

So to celebrate this fact how about trying some of our frozen ready meals delivered to your door. Our cooked meals are created by a small team of dedicated professionals to give you the taste of home cooked meals without the hassle – and without all the washing up!

Lamb is packed full of goodness and is a great source of protein along with vitamins B12 which helps with brain function and  B3 which can help prevent heart disease.

Which Lamb Ready Meal To Choose?

We have a variety of lamb dishes there is the highly popular Roast Lamb Dinner.  This meal which is low in salt and sugar, is served with roasted potatoes, roast parsnips, Brussels sprouts and gravy – this is also allium free for those that suffer from food allergies / intolerance.

Other classic lamb meals for those that have more traditional tastes include our best selling ‘Liver, Bacon and Onion Casserole’ ; Liver is rich in nutrients including vitamin A, iron, and zinc. Vitamin A is beneficial for eye health and for reducing diseases that cause inflammation, including everything from Alzheimer’s disease to arthritis.

Our other perennial favourites include Shepherd’s Pie and the hearty Irish Stew both of which are gluten free, and the Irish stew is also dairy free.

Last year we updated some of our dishes that are topped with mash potato. We now brown a big tray of mash and then slice it into ‘pie tops’ before placing it on top of the meat – this means that when reheated in the microwave the meals still have a gorgeous brown top to them (many of our customers prefer to use a microwave for ease and to save on the expensive of turning the oven on for one meal).

A little bit spicy.

If your taste in lamb dishes is a little more exotic we also have the ‘deliciously rich and slightly spicy’ Lamb Curry – served with rice. Or how about the enticing Lamb Tagine (a slow cooked stew from northwest Africa) cooked with apricots and Moroccan spices, this is one of the most beautifully aromatic dishes when cooking. For those that don’t know it gets its name from the traditional earthenware pot used to cook it in (sometimes spelt Tajine).
